• Gesture Completions: Records of thoughtful gestures you complete through our micro-moments feature
• Photos: Images you upload when completing gestures or documenting date experiences, stored securely in cloud storage
• Saved Items: Date ideas and micro-moments you save to your collection
• Communications: Messages you send through our follow-up chat feature with Jan, our AI assistant
• Voice Input: If you choose to use voice-to-text input, audio is processed on your device using your operating system's built-in speech recognition. We receive only the transcribed text, not audio recordings

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Service, we automatically collect certain information:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
• Usage Data: Features you use, actions you take, time and duration of activities, and interaction patterns
• Location Data: With your permission, precise location (GPS coordinates) for location-aware date and venue recommendations. Location is collected only when you actively request location-based features and is not stored persistently
• Device Permissions: We may request access to your device's microphone (for voice-to-text input) and location services. These permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings
• Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and pages viewed

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Authentication Providers: If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from these services
• Payment Processors: Transaction confirmations (we do not store full payment card details)

4. AI Processing and Data

4.1 How AI Uses Your Data

• Partner profile information is sent to our AI systems to generate personalized gift, date, and gesture suggestions
• Your feedback on recommendations helps improve future suggestions
• Conversation history with Jan is used to provide contextual responses
• Weekly insights are generated by analyzing your gesture patterns and engagement

4.2 AI Service Providers

We use multiple AI service providers to power our recommendation engine, including OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude). Data sent to AI services:

• Is processed according to our data processing agreements with each provider
• Is not used to train general AI models — both OpenAI and Anthropic provide API terms that exclude training on customer data
• Is subject to each provider's enterprise privacy commitments
• May include your partner profile information, conversation history, and location data necessary to generate personalized recommendations

4.3 What AI Does NOT Do

• We do not use AI to make automated decisions that significantly affect you without human oversight
• AI recommendations are suggestions only — you always control what actions to take
• We do not share your personal profile data with other users

After account deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Access and Portability

You can access most of your personal information directly through the app. You can also export a complete copy of your data (including profile information and photos) directly from the app settings. Alternatively, you may request a copy by contacting us.

8.2 Correction

You can update your account information and profiles directly in the app at any time.

8.3 Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion:

• Your account and profile data will be permanently deleted
• Your saved items and history will be removed
• Some data may be retained for legal compliance (see Section 7)

8.4 Notification Preferences

You can manage push notification preferences in the app settings or through your device settings.

8.5 Location Data

You can enable or disable location access through your device settings. Disabling location will limit location-aware date and venue recommendations.

8.6 Voice Input

You can enable or disable microphone access through your device settings. Disabling microphone access will disable voice-to-text input but will not affect other app functionality.

8.7 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or adjusting your preferences in the app.

9. Children's Privacy

JANexus is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have information from a child under 18, please contact us.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
