- Communications: Messages you send through our follow-up chat feature with Jan, our AI assistant
- Voice Input: If you choose to use voice-to-text input, audio is processed on your device using your operating system's built-in speech recognition. We receive only the transcribed text, not audio recordings

Your partner's information:

This data is used to generate daily gesture suggestions, date ideas, conversation responses, and weekly relationship insights.
4.2 AI Service Providers
We use the following third-party AI service providers to power JANexus features. Both providers may receive the data categories listed in Section 4.1 above each time an AI feature is used:
- OpenAI — Processes your data to generate personalized gestures, date ideas, conversation responses, and relationship insights
- Anthropic (Claude) — Processes your data to generate personalized gestures, date ideas, conversation responses, and relationship insights
Data sent to these AI services:
- Includes the personal data described in Section 4.1 (your information, your partner's information, and activity data)
- Is transmitted each time you use an AI-powered feature
- Is processed according to our data processing agreements with each provider
- Is not used to train general AI models — both OpenAI and Anthropic provide API terms that exclude training on customer data
- Is subject to each provider's enterprise privacy commitments
4.3 What AI Does NOT Do
- We do not use AI to make automated decisions that significantly affect you without human oversight
- AI recommendations are suggestions only — you always control what actions to take
- We do not share your personal profile data with other users

You can enable or disable microphone access through your device settings. Disabling microphone access will disable voice-to-text input but will not affect other app functionality.
8.7 Marketing Communications
You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or adjusting your preferences in the app.
9. Children's Privacy
JANexus is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
